Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

Last Saturday I donated bone marrow to joincidence in a life-saving procedure (300 points). In February I set _sailingaway's puppy on fire (-66 points). In April I pulled over and changed helly_uk's flat tire (15 points). Last Wednesday I stole _rainymorning's purse (-30 points). In November I ate my brussel sprouts (1 points).

Overall, I've been nice (220 points). For Christmas I deserve an Easy-Bake Oven!

Did anyone see Neighbours today?! Lance was back, and someone was asking him about Alannah - asked if she's the Leia to his Hans Solo, and he said "well, I think to think of her more as Captain Janeway to my Chakotay." Heeeeee!! :-D The world is full of J/Cers! I lept up and down and squealed...my housemates are seriously worried for my sanity.

Stolen from just about everyone:

I shoulda said this before, but I kept forgetting! Anyway, this is just a note to anyone on my LJ flist who has ever watched ER. I reccomend you go read this fic, Continental Drift right. now. It's amazing. I promise, you won't regret it. It's long, but worth it. If you've ever watched ER, then go read! In fact, even if you haven't watched ER...it's too beautiful to miss. :-D

In other news, a letter to Next...

Dear Mr. Next Manager,

I am a very loyal customer. I have bought many clothes from your shop over the years, and they have served me well. But right now, Mr Next Manager, there's these boots I want. And a really pretty pair of going out sandals. You see sir, I'm just a little student. But I love these shoes so much. And you never know, one day I may be your doctor and you'll need my help just like I need yours right now. So please. I love you. I love your shoes. Please let me love them a little more personally.

Yours sincerely,
Joanna M

current song: She's the One - Robbie Williams

Her face was still raised as she tried to see the rest of the booth over the heads of the crowd, and impulsively, Murphy bent down and kissed her lightly.

Again, he had shocked himself. He started to apologise, but she put a finger to his lips and smiled up into his eyes. "A friendly kiss, Murphy," she said softly. "Froeliche Weinachten. Happy Christmas." Her voice was gentle, like a song. She took her hand away and lifted her chin expectantly. This time it was no accident. Murphy pulled her near to him, and in the midst of the crowd, he kissed her. He felt her lips part slightly as she leaned again him. For a moment, the rush of warmth was so strong through him that he imagined she might have to hold him up. The world spun. She pulled away, then stood oblivious in the clamour around them.

"You have made me feel alive again." She laid her head gainst his chest.

Murphy had trouble finding his breath, let alone speaking. "Yeah," he replied.

"Angry. Embarrassed. Pursued," she laughed. "Desired--" Her voice was wistful.

"Elisa," Murphy gulped. "Elisa." The name itself was magic to him.

"Yes Murphy?"

"I think I want to sit down," he breathed. "And then can we do that again?" He was confused. "Friendly--uh..."

Throwing back her head, she laughed and pulled him stumbling away from the crowd. "Come on, Murphy. What you need is a good strong cup of Turkish coffee!"

I love this book so so much...I just read that bit earlier and it made me feel so happy and squealy. The first kiss gave me butterflies...there's not the whole effect here, because you lose the build up of the characters' relationship...but it's so, so beautiful.
